I came to ceramics as an engineer who slowly, and then completely, fell in love with the therapeutic rhythm of working with clay. What began as curiosity became a way of understanding myself and the world around me. Clay has a remarkable honesty, it records every touch, every hesitation, every moment of clarity and that transparency drew me in. I am fascinated by the way soft, natural curves emerge freely, only to meet the boundaries created by human structures or the quiet psychological limits we carry within us. That meeting point, where fluidity encounters resistance, reveals something deeply human.
Working with clay allows me to express my inner world with a kind of authenticity I had never accessed before. It invites me to slow down, to listen, to respond rather than control. Through each piece, I explore the tension between instinct and intention, vulnerability and strength, nature and design. In shaping these forms, I am also shaping a language, one that feels truer, more tactile, and more emotionally grounded than anything I could say in words.
